They are made of a cotton/polyester blend ribbing material for stretchy-ness. Newborn heads come in different sizes - I have four sizes: X-Small/Preemie, Small Newborn, Larger Newborn and X-Large Newborn. They have a decorative button on the very top. When ordering choose a color and a size.
